Greatness in the making...

A passion for video game design and storytelling. My focus is on telling great stories through expert game level design. My goal is to create the next cult classic in the gaming industry!

As a child, I always had a passion for video games. While many people talked about sports and movies, my interests always aligned with video games. A lot of the inspirations I harken back to when building levels, comes from platformers such as Banjo-Kazooie or the numerous 3D Mario titles (with Super Mario Odyssey being my favorite), or the amazing worlds that were created with the Assassin's Creed franchise.

I graduated from Prairie View A&M University with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, then continued my studies in Los Angeles with the New York Film Academy, earning a Master of Fine Arts degree in Video Game Design. During my college career, I spent a couple of summers working as a camp counselor for the YMCA. To keep my campers engaged during those hot Texas summers, I would often tell stories.

Throughout my graduate program, I realized that game levels can tell those same kinds of stories. I enjoyed the challenge of weaving the stories my team and I would brainstorm into the level design. Years ago, Nintendo started with a game called Donkey Kong. From that, not only were several versions of Donkey Kong were made, but the plumbers from that game, Mario and Luigi have been featured in countless games, movies, and other products. Assassin’s Creed began with one assassin during the era of the crusades and has continued for many iterations to the Viking age. Like those classics who have come before and inspired me, my goal is to make levels for games that endure through generations, just as I experienced growing up!
